What is Process Intelligence?
Process Intelligence is the evolution of classic Process Mining: it combines process data with context and domain knowledge and uses AI to make processes not just visible, but understandable and optimizable. Instead of only showing what happens, Process Intelligence explains why it happens and derives concrete recommendations for action.
Why does this matter?
Pure process visualization is not enough to create real value. Process Intelligence delivers root-cause analysis and prioritized measures, allowing organizations to move faster from insight to action and achieve operational excellence.
What does this look like in practice?
An insurer sees in process mining that claims are reopened too often. Process intelligence goes further: it links the process to policy type, claim size and case handler, identifies that reopenings cluster around reserves corrected after the fact, and quantifies what that loop costs per year.
Not to be confused with
Not the same as process mining. Process mining is the analysis method; process intelligence is the wider discipline that connects process data with context, metrics and decisions. Process mining answers how a process runs; process intelligence answers why it runs that way, what it costs, and what follows from it.
