What is OCEL 2.0?

OCEL 2.0 (Object-Centric Event Log standard, version 2.0) is an open standard format for storing object-centric event data. It allows a single event to relate to multiple objects of different types and also captures object attributes and relationships over time.

Why does this matter?

Classic event logs force processes into a single case ID and thereby distort reality. OCEL 2.0 is the data foundation for Object-Centric Process Mining and enables more realistic, multidimensional analysis of complex ERP and CRM processes.
